Our History
The Fox Inn is an 18th century pub set in the peaceful village of Matching Tye in Essex.
The Perry family have taken ownership of the The Fox Inn as of May 2024, and offer a warm welcome to the family run establishment.
Relaxed Dining
The Fox Inn offers relaxed dining for 82 people in the modernised bar area and restaurant, and we are pleased to offer a 40-seat function room ideal for parties, private gatherings and meetings.
We are open 6 days a week, Tuesday’s through to Sunday, being closed on Mondays.
We serve excellent, freshly cooked food from either our bar, restaurant or Sunday lunch menus. We have a tasty kid’s menu available.
We have a spacious garden area, perfect for enjoying outdoor dining, wherever you are at the Fox Inn you will receive a first-class service.
As a free house, we access various suppliers, regularly sampling new products to bring you the very best quality.
Guest ales and wine specials change frequently to perfectly accompany seasonal menus, with our chef creating exciting special boards for you to enjoy.
